OK Now it is time to actually declade 2.0 as “working”
It is Still maked as “alpha” but all tests I have done have shown working as good as on 1.3 so you can now use this version as a good diagnostic tool
Now in this release I have released today it includes my first code done in C it is a new IRQ test. Still classified as “Experimental” before I will remove the old test.
Now it hopefully will detect rouge IRQs. meaning if you have a short on IPL lines making wrong IRQ being triggered it will show it and it would be more easy to figure out. before it showed as “failed” on wrong IRQ level not showing WHAT lever was triggered. hopefully it will work now.
It might look like no work have been done on DiagROM for a while. but it have been a massive re-write source will be available later even if I will not accept changes to it. it will be fully visible!
For the moment DiagROM V2.0 serial is using 19200 BPS, but I might lower it back to 9600 bps as 19200 seems not to be working as good on slower machines especially as I do not want to use IRQs etc to handle requests making timings much harder to handle. but with this DiagROM will work on more dead machines and I think that is way more important.
if you want to sell ROMs with DiagROM V2.0 it is now fully ok to do so! BUT people must know that this is a product in development!
